Pokemon Unite Gardevoir building – evolution, items, abilities and more
A Pokemon Unite Gardevoir build can go hand in hand with the evolution, items, and abilities of this psychic pokemon. Pokemon Gardevoir joined Nintendo’s MOBA playable Pokémon list in late July and became the first new Pokémon to join the game since its launch. So, you probably want to play with Gardevoir and try a new style of play. First, to unlock the Gardevoir from Pokemon Unite, you will need to purchase the Unite license from the Unite Battle Committee. This will cost you 8,000 Aeos Coins or 460 Aeos Gems, making it an average price compared to other Pokémon on sale.
Now Gardevoir is a ranged attacker who benefits from the use of his psychic skills in combat. There’s a lot to unbox in terms of gameplay when deciding how you want to take on each battle in Pokemon Unite, but luckily we’ve put together a build guide that will help you figure out what’s best for you. Gardevoir is a bit of a glass cannon in that it can deal a lot of damage to opposing Pokémon, but it can also die very quickly with a fairly low disposition.
This means you’ll want to play on Gardevoir’s forces, one of which is making sure those hits have an impact and using mobility to escape. You’ll want to create distance for your attacks to take off and reduce the number of times you’re knocked out and back to spawn.
Pokemon Unite Gardevoir Evolution Line
When you start each Pokemon Unite battle, you are at the start of Gardevoir’s evolution line. This means that at level one you are Ralts. You will want to cultivate significant HP at this point to reach level six where you will evolve into Kirlia. And at level ten, you finally become Gardevoir. At each level and stage of evolution, you unlock new movements, among which we have detailed in the next section.
Pokémon Unite Gardevoir
At the base level, Gardevoir has two attacks; Basic attack and synchronization. If you play smart you will level up quickly and unlock the following moves.
Between level one through three, you unlock two moves. You have a choice between the two at level one, then you unlock the second move you didn’t choose at level three. Confusion is a ranged attack that shoots a psychic blast forward in any direction you choose. Teleportation is a quick attack that teleports Gardevoir to a designated area and boosts the next Basic Attack.
At level six, you can choose one of the two. This time it’s final and you don’t unlock the second at a higher level. You have Psyshock which is an area attack that fires three explosions in a designated area. With each attack that directly hits an opposing Pokémon, the cooldown is reduced. This move can also be upgraded to increase damage per hit. Or Future Sight, another AoE attack but this time with a delayed explosion that also reduces the cooldown on impact. Upgrading this move grants an instant cooldown on impact.
At level eight, you have another choice of two. Psychic is a ranged attack that shoots a ball of energy from a distance that affects both the health and speed of the opposing Pokémon over time. Upgrading offers a reduced cooldown. Or Moonblast, a ranged attack that fires a psychic blast that knocks Gardevoir back and stuns the first Pokémon hit and damages everyone else in the area.
Finally, at level ten, you unlock the Unite de Gardevoir movement. Fairy Singularity attracts opposing Pokémon by distorting the space around it. It then attracts the Pokémon before exploding, damaging, and moving any captured Pokémon. This obstruction movement is all about shocking and moving your opponents.
The best Pokemon Unite Gardevoir build
Based on the above moves, we’ve rounded up the best version of Pokemon Unite Gardevoir that you can take with you into battle. Of course, it all depends on how you like to play, but we’ve relied on Gardevoir’s strength from a distance with this one. We also recommend that you team up and stay close to at least one member of your team so that you can play safely and get the most out of your attacks from a distance.
- Confusion (level 1)
- Teleportation (level 3)
- Psyshock (level 6)
- Moon explosion (level 8)
- Fairy Singularity (level 10)
This version prioritizes damage and for that you will need to get Ralts to Kirlia as quickly as possible. This can be done by using Confusion to deal heavy damage against opponents. Psyshock at level six will take a bit of getting used to as you will have to work on directing your attack while staying on top of your opponent and avoiding danger, but it pays off a lot. Moonblast used alongside Psyshock will increase your shield and movement as well as stun your opponent, which will help you if your Psyshock didn’t land the way you wanted it to. And of course your Unite, Fairy Singularity move kicks in which will boost your damage and shock your opponents before the game ends. This move also attracts enemies, so it might be worth saving and using when your team is with you and ready to join the fight.
With each build of Gardevoir, you’ll want to equip a held item and combat items to improve different stats and aid the moves you’ve selected. We’ve listed the best in the next section.
Pokemon Unite Gardevoir best articles
There are 16 Pokemon Unite Gardevoir items to choose from, but you can only equip your Pokemon with three for each battle and you will need to either unlock all items or purchase them from the Aeos Emporium first. Each item has different stats that can improve the way you play. For Gardevoir, we’ve listed some of the best battle items you can take with you into the battle arena.
- Floating Stone – Move faster when not in combat
- Shell bell – Special attacks heal 45 HP, plus a percentage of your special attack
- Wise Glasses – Increases damage from special attacks
- Sp. Atk. Specifications – Permanently increases Special Attack when scoring a goal
- Energy Booster – Deals additional damage after using the Unite move
- Scope Lens – Increases Critical Hit Damage
We have selected these specific items to mitigate the impact of these special attacks. As mentioned before, Gardevoir is a bit of a glass cannon so you want to make sure that when you hit you hit hard.
And with the items held, you can only take one. For Gardevoir, as a ranged attacker with a fairly fragile disposition, it’s important to make sure you keep your distance and retreat safely if necessary. For this, we recommend the eject button for its ability to instantly transport Gardevoir to another location.
