Nigerian Ambassador to the World Trade Organization Adamu claims British degrees, London School responds

The London Graduate School said Nigeria’s Ambassador to the World Trade Organization Abdulhamid Adamu, who claimed to have obtained a master’s degree in business management and leadership and a doctorate in philosophy, is not known to school.
The LGS said in a statement sent to SaharaReporters on Saturday that it was the delivery arm of OTHM Qualifications, a UK regulated certification body www.othm.org.uk “and as such, we do not take students directly ”.
The school said: “We do not have any degree-granting powers, but we do provide complementary degrees validated and awarded by our partner, the University of Chichester, as posted on the university’s website https : //www.chi.ac.uk/about-us/ policies-and-statements / academic-quality-and-standards / independent-providers. “
SaharaReporters had reported that “it was also observed that the London Graduate School has two websites, londongs.co.uk and lgsglobal.uk”.
But the school rejected the information, saying the two websites are not connected.
“The individual named in the article is not and has never been a student with us and is not known to us. The two websites you are referring to are in no way related and the two organizations have no association between them.
“At no time were we or the University of Chichester contacted regarding the accuracy of the facts or the right of reply,” the school said.
The statement was signed by Patricia Land, Head of Academic Operations and Standards at the London Graduate School.
SaharaReporters reported on Friday that Adamu’s appointment was contained in a letter sent by the office of the Chief of Staff to President Ibrahim Gambari, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo.
