LIVE: Ukraine says Russian forces shelled mosque in Mariupol

European Union leaders said on Friday they would continue to pressure Russia by designing a new round of massive sanctions to punish Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine while bolstering military support for Kiev. Speaking after a two-day EU summit outside Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron said all options were on the table for a fourth crackdown package targeting Russia if President Vladimir Putin intensifies its war efforts.
President Joe Biden said on Friday that the G7 industrialized countries would revoke Russia’s ‘most favored nation’ trade status and announced a US ban on Russian seafood, alcohol and diamonds, the latest measures to punish Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine.
The move would result in “another crush underneath” Russia as it continues its aggression in Ukraine, Biden said.
