Helena B Scott, ‘Ghost Whisperer’, can unlock the keys to good health
Helena B Scott is keen to make a distinction, to distance herself from the work of some of her contemporaries, people who bring film crews and curious spectator crews to certain parts of the country.
I’ve had certain gifts since I was 5 or 6 years old,” she says. “I have psychometry, I can touch a building or an object and read energy or memories from it, but I’m not a psychic or a psychic, I see it as foul words. I don’t I don’t do divinations for people, I don’t do seances or ouija boards, I don’t approach spirits but sometimes they approach me I’m a ghost whisperer, not a ghost hunter, I’ve always felt connected to the spirit world from an early age.
These relationships led Helena to Loftus Hall and the publication of a book – Loftus: the room of dreams – in 2018 which she describes as “going beyond the cliché of a ghost tale recycled over the centuries by locals”. Review by Irish weatherthis book presented only part of Helena’s arsenal, one of the many talents and abilities she possesses.
This Saturday at St Mary’s Community Hall in Fethard-on-Sea, she will be showcasing another of her skills in a workshop which she says will unlock attendees the secrets to good health and well-being.
“I help people understand where the chakras come from. It’s for people of all ages, if they have chronic illnesses, if they’re disabled, I’ve had nurses and doctors who m ‘have asked about the chakras”, explains Helena (46) “Knowing how they work can improve your health, everyone’s body is different, what is good for me may not be good for you, they are not a substitute traditional medicine but they can improve your health.”
Entitled “Knowing the chakras and the aura”. Cleanse, Balance and Protect Your Energy,” the workshop runs from 3-8 p.m. and will teach participants how to “learn more about energy and how it can affect us, and discover your own unique energy system.” And Helena says this knowledge has enabled her to overcome her own serious health problems in recent times.
“I had the long Covid in 2020, I had damaged lungs and dizziness, which caused me to fall down the stairs and break several bones in my body, I was bedridden for ten months. I gained a lot of weight but I’ve lost 47 pounds since December she says “I had cervical cancer before the pandemic for 18 months too, but now my blood tests are perfect, and it all depends of my lifestyle, the chakras and my spiritual life, they help your physical, mental and spiritual health. ”
Well travelled, living in the US and across Europe, Helena chose to settle in Wexford in 2015 with her son, and she says there is something unique about Ireland and in particular the South-East.
“I was looking for a place to live, I didn’t want to go back to the UK, I had lived there twice and then there was the matter of Brexit, and the US is very problematic at the moment, it’s okay for holidays, but it’s not a good place to live for a single mum,” she says. “Ireland is in the middle, it allows me to see my family and travel around Europe. I was attracted to Wexford, had given my son an Irish name and only later discovered he was connected to Wexford, so it was my subconscious work. And Ireland is the hub of the paranormal, it has very old and undisturbed energies.
Helena will explore Wexford’s history further in an upcoming book exploring Templar activity in the South East and will also be part of the first ever International Paranormal Convention to be held in New Ross in February next year.
