Bold statement from Valérie Bertinelli on recent SCOTUS decisions

Following the recent SCOTUS rulings, celebrity chef and cookbook author Valerie Bertinelli tweeted today that “We’re not the greatest country in the world” (via Twitter). The tweet is particularly disturbing because it tweeted exactly the same thing a month to the day about the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. The statement is likely in response to both Supreme Court rulings, as it followed it up with this Tweeter“The majority of Americans want tougher gun laws and better access to health care. The minority of white Christian nationalists run our country and are not Christians in any way. We are NOT the greatest country of the world.”
As expected, the responses to his tweet are very mixed. “Free to find another place you prefer,” replied a Twitter user. A few others sang the same overplayed “if you don’t like it, then leave” tune, while others echoed Bertinelli’s sentiment. “We haven’t been there for a long time. It makes us a third world country now. America has lost its greatness for generations to come,” replied another Twitter user. “Making an exit plan as we speak. I refuse to live in Gilead,” replied @mindybonner.
